Fusion spells work differently in Persona 3 Reload when compared to the original, FES, and Portable, so here’s a quick breakdown.

The most recent iteration of Persona 3, Persona 3 Reload, offers a ton of new features and enhancements to the game’s aesthetics and gameplay. Fusion spells now function differently in Persona 3 Reload than they did in Portable.

If both Personas needed for a fusion spell were in the player’s current stock, they may cast the spell in Persona 3’s original version for SP. This was altered by Persona 3 Portable, which allowed players to buy Fusion Spells as consumables from the Antique Shop in return for gems and did not need them to have the relevant Personas in their inventory. This is how to utilize Fusion Spells now that Persona 3 Reload has altered their functionality once more.

How Fusion Spells Work in Reload

Fusion spells have been modified in Persona 3 Reload to serve as the protagonist’s “theurgy.” Unlocked soon after Fuuka joins S.E.E.S., this is effectively a limit break that may be utilized once the Theurgy Meter is full. The protagonist’s theurgy has one of the simplest charging processes, but the theurgas of the other party members are charged differently. Theurgy meters are raised whenever the protagonist calls upon a persona, which makes sense for someone with a large number of personas at their disposal.

The protagonist can use any of the Fusion spells they presently have access to once their Theurgy meter is full. They don’t need to maintain those Personas in their stock in order to access their Fusion Spells because they can unlock them by registering all of the Personas involved in that Fusion Spell in the Compendium. Players may utilize their Fusion Spells without restriction because Theurgy doesn’t require any materials or SP to use.

Cadenza: The protagonist can conduct a party-wide heal that increases accuracy and evasion by combining Orpheus and Apsaras. This is the first Fusion Spell players will be able to use, and it is undoubtedly one of the best support spells. It is available right away.

Jack Brothers: This combo of Jack Frost and Jack O’ Lantern’s stand-up routine is ideal for launching all-out attacks on opponents when it would not be feasible to take them out. It does massive damage to all foes, with a high probability of taking them down.

Best Friends: The protagonist can perform a potent boost that more than doubles the damage caused by the target’s next attack by uniting Forneus and Decarabia.
