In Baldur’s Gate 3, players may build some amazing armor and weaponry in the Adamantine Forge.
In Baldur’s Gate 3, players will find six enigmatic weapon and armor molds en route to the Adamantine Forge. They will begin to uncover hints on the location and functioning of the Forge as they delve further into Act 2’s narrative. To the south of Nere’s imprisoned position in Grymforge, it has its own Waypoint.
For those with the patience to look, supplies and instructions are accessible, but the player is not made aware of exactly what these resultant products are like. Players must select just two of these six options since there are only two pieces of Mithril Ore in Baldur’s Gate 3. In light of this, it’s advisable to see precisely what these products can accomplish before settling on a few excellent choices.
Updated by Kristy Ambrose on February 24, 2024: Players go out of their way to locate the Adamantine Forge and its construct guardian Grym, despite the fact that these are optional components of the quest in Baldur’s Gate 3. Characters that can wear bulky armor and use martial arts weapons are given preference when it comes to the armor and weaponry. One piece of adamantine ore and the corresponding mold are needed for each of the next six parts, and some of them can be challenging to locate. Besides, there’s the huge guardian Grym, which needs to be killed before anything can be made, but at least you only have to do it once.
Adamantine Splint Armor
Very Rare, Heavy Plate Armor
Stats
- 18 AC
- Wearer is immune to critical hits.
- When the wearer is hit, the attacker gains the Reeling debuff for 3 turns.
One of the greatest heavy armor pieces in Baldur’s Gate 3 is the Adamantine Splint, which is made even better by the fact that you may manufacture it early in Act 2. For a potent melee build, combine it with the shield or another weapon.
The only very rare piece of armor made of adamantine is this one. It’s also of the simplest molds to locate. Look east of the Waypoint; it’s adjacent to the Dark Justiciar’s skeleton, on a collapsing ledge.
Adamantine Shield
Ideal For A Defender Build
Stats
- +2 AC
- Wearer is immune to critical hits
- Wearer gains the Shield Bash attack
- When a melee attack misses, the attacker gains the Reeling debuff for 2 turns.
The Reeling debuff is applied to every item created at Adamantine Forge, giving all attack rolls a -1. It’s among the greatest equipment to create for tank characters for this reason, among others. Attacks against the wearer incur this penalty whether their strike connects or misses while they are wearing both the shield and splint armor combined.
The Adamantine Shield is enhanced when worn in conjunction with the Splint or Scale armor piece. At the top of a set of stairs in the dormitory, there is a skeleton with a closed door that may be looted for the mold.
Adamantine Scale Mail
Medium Rare Armor
Stats
- 16 AC
- Reduces all incoming damage by 1
- Wearer is immune to critical hits
- When hit by a melee attack, the attacker gains the Reeling debuff for 2 turns.
The Adamantine Scale Mail is an option for people who can only wear medium armor but yet desire some additional protection. For Rangers and Clerics who are designed to engage in some melee combat, it’s a great option.
The ease of finding the mold is another reason to create that Adamantine Scale Male. Adjacent to the Waypoint, adjacent to a work table, it appears as though the artisans had never left.
Adamantine Scimitar
Gain The Flourish And Lacerate Attacks
Stats
- 1d6+1 Slashing damage
- +1 Enchantment
- Successful attacks apply the Reeling debuff for 1 turn.
- Ignores resistance to Slashing damage.
- All attacks against objects are critical hits.
Since a scimitar is a finesse weapon, a character’s dexterity as much as strength determines how effective it is. Scimitars are a common weapon for rogues, Rangers, and Druids who are proficient with martial arts; Jaheria is a well-known example of this.
The harder it is to find the mold for the Adamantine Scimitar. It is available for looting from a skeleton on a partially collapsed stairway that looks over Nere’s location.
Adamantine Longsword
Devastating Melee Power With Pommel Strike, Rush Attack, and Lacerate
Stats
- 1d8+1 Slashing damage (one-handed) / 1d10+1 Slashing damage (two-handed)
- +1 Enchantment
- Ignores resistance to Slashing damage.
- Successful attacks apply the Reeling debuff.
- Attacks against objects are critical hits.
The fact that the Adamantine Longsword’s stats and abilities vary based on how you choose to use it is one of its greatest features. Characters possessing the necessary ability and strength can use this weapon one-handed, holding a shield or another weapon in the other hand. Normally, this weapon is used by two people.
The Reeling debuff is applied for one turn by successful one-handed attacks with this weapon, and for two turns by successful two-handed assaults. Perched atop the metal bridge that spans the space between Nere’s position and the Ancient Form Waypoint is the mold.
Adamantine Mace
Gain the Concussive Smash Attack
Stats
- 1d6+1 Bludgeoning damage
- +1 Enchantment
- Successful one-handed attacks apply the Reeling debuff for 1 turn.
- Ignores resistance to Bludgeoning damage.
- Attacks against objects are critical hits.
These possibilities make for some nice weaponry, but unless you’re a Cleric or Driuid, this might not be the greatest use of your resources as there are only two locations to discover and mine Mithril Ore. It is a good offhand for dual wielders, though.
While damage-dealing heroes would probably choose a weapon with higher damage, healers will benefit from reducing the likelihood that an adversary will land a strike. The Ancient Forge Waypoint’s Splint Mail Mold makes it simple to locate this mold.
