The 2024 championship line-up was recently revealed by EVO, the biggest and most well-known fighting game event in the world. As always, the selection of games has evolved to reflect the times, welcoming some much-needed newcomers while regrettably having to omit some well-loved classics.

With a ton of new titles that have mostly only been published in the last year, EVO 2024 excels this time around. Even if we are sad to see Dragon Ball FighterZ leave the main stage, Arc System Works, the developer, still rules the event with three amazing games that are on display.

This is the official list of fighting games for EVO 2024.
Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, and Mortal Kombat 1 are the three games making their EVO stage debuts this year; they were all released in between the last event and this one. Two new Arc System Works games have joined them in this area, so five of the eight disciplines have the potential to introduce fresh faces to the fray.

A roster change is always thrilling, but there are a ton of new games that might garner much-needed attention from audiences beyond the fighting game industry. It will be important for us to keep an eye out for the side tournaments, as that is where popular games from the event’s history continue to exist with their own tiny communities. This has been the case with Dragon Ball FighterZ and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for a long time.

From July 19 to 21, Evo 2024 will be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall. Event credentials for three days cost $180 (plus any state taxes and fees). Before the passes sell out, you may register and obtain your passes by visiting the official EVO website.
