Oh my! The WoW Team has experienced an amazing year. We are really appreciative of our community’s presence as we develop, adapt, try new things, and try to provide as much beauty and joy as we can!

Last year at this time, I published our initial roadmap. I’m so appreciative of our team for making it all come true and then some! We are aware that keeping your word is significantly less important than fulfilling your commitments. Having said that, we are totally committed to listening to you, acting upon your feedback, and creating a solid future for all of us in Azeroth. We will continue to grow and learn with every release and announcement this year.

It would take a long time to list everything we accomplished together this year, including the return of the Icecrown Citadel raid dungeon, six Dragonflight content updates, Wrath content updates, the Classic Hardcore launch, BlizzCon 2023, an amazing Race to World First in Dragonflight Season 3, and most recently, the Classic Season of Discovery! We wish to maintain the pace since this has been a memorable year!

It’s time to give a preview of 2024 now!

Three further Dragonflight content upgrades will be released in the current World of Warcraft before World of Warcraft: The War Within launches the following year. We’ll be completing the plot for this expansion and setting the stage for our upcoming one in these updates.

The dungeons and raids from Dragonflight will be returned, along with outdoor content with new twists and upgraded prizes. Then, we’ll ask for your input when the War Within expansion alpha and beta tests launch in the Spring/Summer. As content upgrades approach, we will keep you informed with dates, information, and more, just like we did last year! At least the most of it—we have some surprises in store as well!). We are actively monitoring your comments on the live public test realms (PTR) for the next Seeds of Renewal content release, which is scheduled for January.

We plan to release updates for WoW Classic in February that will include “Self Found” compatibility in the Classic Hardcore mode. This will provide players with an additional challenge and boost their hard work. Lok’tar ogar ay! As the journey progresses, Season of Discovery will also release further phases in the upcoming year. Of course, the Cataclysm Classic will take place in the first part of next year!
