One of your party members may receive a significant boost from Broomother’s Vengeance, increasing their lethality in battle.
Throughout your adventure, you may find a variety of items in Baldur’s Gate 3 to enhance your character and companion builds. There is a vast array of equipment available to improve your abilities, ranging from armor sets to swords, rings, and amulets.
Broodmother’s Revenge is one of the greatest Amulets you may obtain in Act 1 of the game, out of all the many things you can find along your trip. This item is an extremely valuable addition to various Class setups since it allows a character to do additional Poison damage on top of their successful weapon strike.
How to Get Baldur’s Gate 3’s Broodmother’s Vengeance
In order to get Broodmother’s Revenge in Baldur’s Gate 3, you must first defeat Kagha in Act 1 of the game. Her body contains an item that may be looted. There are several ways to eliminate Kagha, and you can adopt any of the following approaches.
Finish the Investigate Kagha quest, which entails traveling to a rendezvous location close to Auntie Ethel’s Gnarled Treehouse and discovering hidden notes stashed in a chest inside her Emerald Grove rooms. There’s another remark here that describes Kagha’s work with the Shadow Druids. When you approach her back in Emerald Grove, you’ll have another chance to talk her out of it or engage her and the Shadow Druids in battle. You must select the latter in this situation, vanquish everyone, and then take Broodmother’s Vengeance off Kagha’s body.
Take Minthara’s side and destroy the Grove’s Tieflings. Once you’ve done that, you may extend the fight to the Druids and wipe out the Grove entirely. Once you’ve done that, you may collect treasure from every character, including Kagha’s amulet, which is the Broodmother’s Revenge.
As an alternative, you can decide to forego taking any of these paths and instead assault and murder Kagha right away, which is probably the quickest way to get Broodmother’s Vengeance. But using this strategy will probably make other characters in the fight turn against you as well, so you’ll probably end up killing more people than simply Kagha.
The Best Builds & Revenge Skills of the Broodmother
Broodmother’s Retaliation Techniques & Buffs
Venomous Revenge: The wearer’s weapon gains a magical coating and delivers an extra 1d4 poison damage whenever they are healed.
In essence, this means that if your Tav gets injured and then heals, magical poison will be applied to their weapon, dealing an additional 1d4 Poison damage on the following strike. This is a great addition to some builds as every damage in Baldur’s Gate 3 counts, and it may compound with other bonus damage die from abilities like Battle Maneuvers, Smites, and Sneak Attack.
Top Builds for Broodmother’s Revenge
Because rogue builds prioritize physical weapons and use Sneak Attack both close-quarters and far away, the Broodmother’s Revenge amulet is an ideal complement to these builds. This way, rogue builds can always take advantage of the additional Poison damage that Broodmother’s Revenge offers.
A Fighter is a dependable option for the Broodmother’s Revenge amulet. Due to their focus on getting close and personal with opponents, fighters are typically able to make sure that a victim takes the additional poison damage on their next turn.In particular, Battle Masters may use Menacing Attack to increase the damage they do. They can also use it to attack twice from level 5 onward and three times from level 11. This allows you to maximize the effects of this boost by giving their weapon many opportunities to do the +1d4 Poison damage each turn. Additionally, Fighters possess the Second Wind Bonus Action, which allows them to administer a brief healing burst to themselves in the event that their primary healer is out of range to initiate Venomous Revenge. This allows them to use this ability independently, without depending on a designated healer to support them.
A Ranger might be a good third option to think about when combining the Broodmother’s Revenge. Rangers and the previously stated Rogue and Fighter both have several important things in common when it comes to this method. Rangers will have two attacks every action after level 5, while Gloomstalkers will receive an additional Gloomstalker attack on their first turn of battle, even if they do not earn Sneak Attack as a Rogue does. In this instance, the Ranger will get two times the +1d4 Poison damage from strikes if they suffer damage and are healed by an ally before their turn, or three times if this happens during the opening round of battle.Additionally, Rangers who possess the Goodberry Spell can also bring about the effects of Venomous Revenge for themselves by using their Bonus Action to consume one of the goodberries the spell produces. However, it is important to note that using the Goodberry Spell during combat will exhaust your Action, and you will still need to use your Bonus Action to consume the berries you just created, which will prevent you from being able to launch a counterattack and deal Poison damage within the turn.
